A basic coated, iron powder hydrogen controlled electrode which deposits extra low carbon 2.25 % Cr / 1.0 Mo weld metal. It is intended for welding creep resisting steels of similar composition used in steam generating plants operating at temperature upto 600°C. The electrode has excellent all positional operability which is particularly advantageous for pipe welding applications. The weld metal is of X-ray quality.
ASTM A 387 Grade 22, ASTM A355 Grade P22, ASTM A199 Grade T22, T3b and T4, ASTM A 213 Grade T22, and T3b. For welding of pipe work, pressure vessels, rectification of castings, fabrication of steam chests, forged valve bodies, headers, superheaters and heat exchangers.
